The Waterstone Inn
Hudson Valley’s Hidden Gem

In the 1850s Solomon Caldwell had a vision that the pristine waterfront and mountains of Greenwood Lake could be a world-class resort area to rival Lake George, NY or Windermere, England. He invested in a lion’s share of land and reached out to others who believed grand hotels, restaurants and recreation belonged in Greenwood Lake. The Golden Age of Greenwood Lake was born and wealthy New York families flocked to the lake for leisure throughout the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Now, the Mulcahy Family has a similar vision: to bring fine accommodations back to Greenwood Lake. The Waterstone Inn offers visitors a peek back in time to when steamships ferried travelers, the railroad ran along the East Shore and Greenwood Lake was the talk of the town in the New York Times social pages.

Open the door to double window views of Greenwood Lake and tree-lined Mount Peter. The Arlington Suite features a king bed, private bath with whirlpool tub and has spacious double height ceilings. Located on the 2nd floor.

Bathe yourself in natural light, the Montclair Suite is full of windows that look out to the lake. King bed, private bath with whirlpool tub. Named after Greenwood Lake’s largest passenger steamship, the Montclair ferried Manhattan’s elite from the train station to lakefront resorts in the early 1900s.

By practicing Yoga we connect with our natural state and relax to the freshness of the present moment, regardless of what that moment may bring.

Come practice to realize that awakening is not about escaping from the world we live in, but instead is about bringing our practice to every aspect of our lives: work, play, relationships, and much more.
